OpenMTC Platform

Machine-to-Machine (M2M) systems allow a large number of diverse devices to communicate over converged networks without human intervention. Recent studies forecast a significant increase in the number of connected devices in various application domains such as eHealth, city automation, and smart metering, which will make a considerable impact on operator networks and generate new revenue streams.

The OpenMTC platform has been designed to address the characteristics of Machine Type Communication (MTC), inspired by currently emerging 3GPP and ETSI standards.
Residing between data network core and applications, it implements specific M2M service capabilities such as: generic communication, application enabling, and remote management.
By relying on standardized network-exposed M2M capabilities, operators and vendors will be able to discover new market potential.
