Konrad graduated at Technical University Berlin in 2009, specializing in Operating Systems Design and Software Engineering. In 2008 he joined the NGNI competence center at Fraunhofer FOKUS, where he designed and implemented a system for testbed management and federation, which was also the topic of his Diploma thesis and was subsequently used as a management backend in the context of the Panlab II project.
Since 2010, Konrad is employed as a researcher at the Architekturen der Vermittlungsknoten (AV) Institute of the Technical University Berlin, where his main research topics are resource federation, monitoring and fault management solutions, and cross layer architectures for the Future Internet.
In this context, he is involved in the G-Lab DEEP project, which strives to to investigate different architectures for the Future Internet based on cross layer and functional compositioning approaches with a special emphasis on security. Apart from that he is participating in the European Union FP7 project PII  where he actively contributes to the development of TEAGLE, a tool for federating Future Internet testbeds.
Furthermore, Konrad is the current maintainer and developer of the Open Management Console OMACO , a monitoring, fault management and service fulfillment solution for OSIMS based NGNs.
