Jakub Kocur received his bachelor's degree from the Warsaw University of Technology, Poland in 2011. He joined the Next Generation Network Infrastructures (NGNI) competence center of the Fraunhofer FOKUS Institute in 2011 as a student researcher, focusing his work on the radio access networks aspects of the OpenEPC platform.
Since 2012 he has participated in a Dual-Degree program between the Technical University of Berlin and the Warsaw University of Technology and received his Master's degree in Computer Engineering, with emphasis on telecommunication networks. His master dissertation was concentrating on designing and implementing a base station (eNodeB) for the 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) system.
After graduation, he joined the team at the Next Generation Networks (AV) chair at the Technical University of Berlin as a research fellow, while continuing the work inside the NGNI competence center of the Fraunhofer FOKUS Institute.
